WHO WE ARE
In 1978, Scott Jennings and Karl Krekow applied their passions for art and creative problem solving to develop an alternative construction approach, primarily serving the local art community. Early on, they added Richard Manderbach to their team and the trio soon stood out as being exceptionally innovative, and willing to take chances that construction traditionalists avoided. It became well known that these guys dared to make construction projects fun. As they continued to attract people of a like mind, but with diverse backgrounds, an emphasis on reliable management and impeccable craft grew to define Krekow Jennings as a company.
As of Spring 2009, ownership of KJ has been transferred to four long-time employees – Barby Salimian, John Blackham, Mike Monda, and Scott White. Having been mentored for over twenty years by Karl, Scott, and Richard, this new ownership group is poised to perpetuate a legacy that is responsible for building some of the most significant architectural projects in the Northwest.
