PROVEN SAFE
The
Department of Labor and Industries rates KrekowJenningsInc among the top
10 safest companies of all business and industry in the
state of Washington. Out of over 45,000 General Contractors statewide,
Labor and Industries rates us as one of the top 5
safest contractors. These ratings are the result of a safety culture initiated
by the ownership and skillfully maintained by our employees. At KrekowJenningsInc,
we believe in our employees and their families, and being fully committed
to a safe work environment is the best of many benefits we can provide
them.
Our
clients benefit due to reduced liability as well as more competitive
labor rates. The rate we pay to Washington State Department of
Labor and Industries for a carpenter is 34 percent of that paid by the
average Washington State General Contractor. We bring good
value to projects.
Background
In the state of Washington, all businesses are required to meet the safety
standards set by the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA).
KrekowJenningsInc works closely with the Department of Labor and Industries
to insure our compliance and to assess risks. Additionally, we adhere
strictly to the guidelines established under WISHA Regional Directive
(WRD) 27.00. These guidelines were established by the Department of Labor
and Industries to enable general contractors to avoid, through safe practices,
injury litigation brought by subcontractor employees as a result of the
Stute decision in 1990. Based on subsequent rulings by the State Court
of Appeals, KrekowJenningsInc also understands the implications of potential
litigation to our clients. Being one of the safest contractors in the
industry, we bring a great asset to the table for everyone involved by
working safely together with our clients, subcontractors, and employees.
We are committed to finishing every project in the safest manner possible.
