Seattle Chinese Garden

When completed, the Seattle Chinese Garden Project will be the largest Chinese Garden outside of China, and will be the first in the United States to be built in the traditional  Sichuan style.  The latest collaboration between KJ and the Seattle Chinese Garden Society,  Jones and Jones Architects, and Seattle's sister city, Chonqing, has resulted in construction of the "Knowing The Spring Court".  This entry to the garden has required significant preparation of the 4.6 acre site and creative use of shotcrete and steel to construct the structural support for the Chinese finishes that have been shipped directly from China and will be installed by Chinese craftspeople who will live on site for three to four months.
